Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and a businesswoman. She founded The Huffington Post, is the CEO and founder of Thrive Global as well an author of a number of novels. Arianna Huffington is a writer, philanthropist television host, and proprietor of the liberally independent online newspaper The Huffington Post. She was born in Greece but moved to England when she was 16. When she attended Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA at the level of economics. Being the first non-English-speaking student to graduate, she was voted as president of The Cambridge Union' at age 21. After her graduation, she was an important conservative syndicated journalist. After a few years later she created The Huffington Post which featured an unbiased critique of the political landscape. The fame of Arianna led to the recruitment of a number of well-known contributors to post their perspectives about news, politics as well as culture. Arianna was famous when she announced in 2003 that she would run as an Independent Candidate for the California Recall Election in order to replace Governor Davis. Alongside this she was also the director of the Detroit Project to promote fuel-efficient vehicles. Forbes named her as the 12th-highest ranked woman on the planet in 2009 and Guardian has also placed her on the list of Top 100 media in that same year. In 2011 AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post and made her president of the media division, which contained many existing AOL products, such as Engadget AOL music Style list and Patch Media. Elli was the youngest daughter of Konstantinos journalist, who was also a business consultant. They were very close to her father. However, it was her connection with her mother who shaped her. In her early times, she demonstrated the qualities of a leader for which she is still well-known. When she turned 16 she relocating to the United Kingdom to pursue her education and was enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. In her college years, she belonged to Cambridge Union. Cambridge Union debating group where she became the first female president, and also the only president from outside the country. In 1972, she graduated with master's degrees in Economics. The years that followed after graduation she was a television presenter and columnist. Also, she appeared alongside Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started writing her own books with his editorial assistance.
