Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic and Ilkay Silk, a multi-talented actor as well as a producer, director and playwright, educator, and Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton, the child of Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Her mother is a "English-Turkish Cypriot ex-pat" born in Britain.
