Stephanie Sigman is a Mexican-American actress. Her first appearance was in Miss Bala, a Mexican crime-drama film. She was also seen in Pioneer (2013) and Spectre (2015). Sigman was a major character in Narcos (2015), S.W.A.T. (2017) and the second season of both of the series. Sigman was the daughter of an Mexican mother, and an American father, Lee Sigman (a New York Yankees Scout from Kansas) as well as a New York Yankees Scout from Kansas, who were both born in Ciudad Obregon. Before making her debut in film in Rio de Oro, she started her career as a Mexican TV actor. She played Laura Guerrero, the lead in Miss Bala, a Mexican crime drama film. The film was picked for consideration as the Mexican entry in the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Award, but it did not make the cut. 9 Sigman was nominated for the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award in 2011 for her role in the film.
